Atex

ATmosphères EXplosibles is the French term from which the abbreviation ATEX derives and stands for two European directives regarding explosion hazards under atmospheric conditions.

Companies and organisations in the EU where there is a risk of explosion must comply with the ATEX 153 Directive (1999/92/EC). The ATEX 114 directive (2014/34/EU) applies to equipment used for this purpose. Engineering in an ATEX environment requires specialist knowledge, in which Tebulo's engineers have extensive experience.
