For the aluminum production industry, Danieli Corus developed a Fume Treatment Center (FTC) to clean flue gases from the "Anode Bakery." Tebulo Engineering assisted Danieli-Corus in completing the Basic and Detailed Engineering. Tebulo Engineering also provided specialists for the work preparation and commissioning of two combined Fume Treatment Center (FTC) installations in Saudi Arabia. Subsequently, Tebulo Engineering performed detailed engineering for a third FTC for ALCOA Bachrein.
Project description
Danieli-Corus (DC) is a manufacturer and supplier of high-quality technology and installations. This project involved cleaning flue gases for the aluminum industry.
An FTC is a process installation that purifies the flue gases released during the baking of carbon (anode) blocks to meet current environmental requirements. A conditioning tower cools the flue gas to the correct temperature, after which clean aluminum powder is injected into the gas stream.
Flue gas contamination adheres to this clean aluminum powder, after which the contaminated aluminum powder is filtered from the gas stream using bag filters and returned to the aluminum smelter. The cleaned gas is discharged through a chimney.
