Project description

Grid operator Stedin, the regional gas and electricity grid operator in the Randstad and the Rotterdam Port Area, has decided to replace the old 13kV high-voltage substation at Oranjelaan in Dordrecht with a completely new high-voltage substation. The new substation houses two 40MVA transformers that convert the incoming 50kV power supply to 13kV. This project is being implemented in collaboration with Advin.

Tebulo Engineering is responsible for the complete detailed engineering of all aspects of the 13kV high-voltage substation, including specifying a double-rail 13kV system with 18 bays, each equipped with an IED (Intelligent Electronic Device). This allows for remote control and monitoring of the system (switch positions, status, voltages, currents, etc.). Building-related installations are also part of the engineering package; for this, lighting and heating calculations were performed, and the 400VAC distribution board, presence detection, water detection, emergency lighting, and fire alarm system were designed by Tebulo Engineering BV.
