Project description
Stedin is the regional gas and electricity grid operator in the Randstad and the Rotterdam Port Area. They have offices in Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Delft. As grid operator, Stedin is also responsible for the construction, expansion, and maintenance of the transmission network. The project involved expanding the existing 23kV installation with two new 23kV single-rail installations, to be installed in the existing building, and installing two 25/23kV autotransformers in newly constructed transformer cubicles on the site.
Tebulo Engineering was responsible for the complete detailed engineering of all aspects of the new 23kV installation and the new transformer cubicles, including the necessary modifications to the existing building. This also included the control and regulation systems for the primary installations and all building-related installations. The 23kV installation and transformers are fully integrated into the 25kV substation and operational. This project was carried out in collaboration with Advin, who handled the construction.
Project management and engineering were the responsibility of Tebulo Engineering. The engineering for expanding the 23kV system with the transformers was developed step by step. The same applied to the implementation. The modifications to the substation and the construction of new transformer cubicles were carried out first. The 25/23kV transformers and the 23kV distribution board with the secondary installations were installed and connected after the FAT (Full Technical Inspection) and the construction of the substation and the new transformer cubicles. A takeover plan was developed to connect users to the 23kV system without any grid interruptions. Upon completion of the project after the FAT and SAT tests, all amended data was incorporated into the documents.
