Project description
Stedin is the regional gas and electricity grid operator in the Randstad and the Rotterdam Port Area. They have offices in Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Delft. As grid operator, Stedin is also responsible for the construction, expansion, and maintenance of the transmission network.
Due to the installation of a switchgear for the new connection to the substation at Merwedehaven in Dordrecht, the 50kV transformer distribution station on Cort van der Lindenstraat in Zwijndrecht needed to be expanded. Tebulo Engineering was responsible for the complete detailed engineering of all building-related installations for the expansion of the 50kV transformer distribution station in Walburg.
This project was carried out in collaboration with Advin, which handled the construction and project management. Tebulo Engineering was responsible for the engineering of the building-related installations. The expansion of the 50kV substation is considered a standalone building. This gave the building its own complete building-related installations. The engineering for the expansion of the 50kV substation included, among other things, the grounding and lightning protection system, electrical installation, evacuation plan, and heating. This was determined by applying various calculations. Upon completion of the project, following the FAT and SAT tests, all amended data was incorporated into the documents.
