Project description
Cofely Energy & Infra, in conjunction with Ballast-Nedam, has constructed a rail tunnel under the Drontermeer lake (TDM) on behalf of ProRail. This rail tunnel is part of the new Hanzelijn railway line between Lelystad and Zwolle, designed for speeds of up to 200 km/h.
On the tunnel roof before the Drontermeerdijk, there is a wildlife passage, over 25 meters wide, specifically for animals in the Revebos forest. The tunnel technical installations (TTI) and their control were carried out by Cofely Energy & Infra. Tebulo Engineering's involvement was primarily in the coordination between engineering and construction, for the tunnel technical installations such as climate control, access security, fire extinguishing system, verification and validation, FAT, and SAT.
An action plan was developed for the transfer of information between engineering and construction. This resulted in efficient installation times. The tunnel had to meet specific and stringent safety requirements, in accordance with the newly issued tunnel law and regulations. For example, the tunnel was designed with two separate tunnel tubes with connecting doors, one serving as an escape route for the other. All necessary tunnel technical installations, such as water drainage pumps, ventilation, fire extinguishing lines, and special facilities for emergency services, were also installed.
