For the installation of a new coffee roasting system, our measurement specialists used a 3D laser scanner to map the entire installation on the two floors surrounding the old coffee roaster in the factory. To accurately capture all the system components, including structures, piping, platforms, lighting fixtures, and so on, more than 50 tripod positions were required.

Our engineers integrated the digital information (point clouds) obtained using specialized software and further developed it into a complete 3D model. The manufacturer of the new coffee roaster used this 3D model as a starting point for dimensioning, allowing the new roaster to be brought in through an opening in the roof and connected and commissioned with minimal work.
